He was born in Barcelona one day in October and he was christened as Lucas Bondia. But his artistic baptism came some years later, in 1993, when, having finished his music studies at Berklee (Boston, USA). he was heard by Julio Reyes, a Colombian producer who has won eleven Grammy awards. With him, the artist started to record the first songs of a repertoire he is now bringing to the Barcelona Grec Festival. Songs such as Caída del cielo, Tonada del impostor, Hermanita and Cicatrices, in which melodic songs find common ground with trip-hop, alternative sounds, avant-garde pop and even flamenco. His sound comes from the Mediterranean, but it breaks down all preconceptions. There is no convenient label that defines the artist's music, where his voice is one of its most personal attributes. Luminous, full of clean high notes, with perfect diction... Most of all, Bun's voice and music generate emotions, but in addition to sensitivity, the songs he sings also contain irony and a certain amount of criticism. You will find it difficult to classify Lucas Bun. Not even his appearance, as the clothes he wears do not conform to a specific aesthetic. Only his songs can be seen as the artist's distinguishing feature. If you haven't heard him yet, you really should.
