The French writer and director presents his most-performed piece for the last time. "Love's End" is the story of a break-up, seen for the first time in Spanish and featuring two actors at the peak of their career, themselves a couple in real life.
Audiences at the Avignon Festival were amazed when, in 2011, they attended the premiere of what was then the latest show by author and stage director Pascal Rambert. The French writer’s play focused on a couple’s breakup through a raw conversation in which the characters exchanged monologues expressing the violence of a dying love. Fear and liberation are fused in a painful dialogue between the lovers, a devastating, merciless battle between a man and a woman which generates an intensity of feeling that is maintained until the curtain drops. Rambert himself has directed performances of this play in several countries. This time around, the performers are Bárbara Lennie and Israel Elejalde, also playing a fictional couple, in Carlos Vermut’s film Magical Girl.
