This multifaceted, unconventional show proposes a meditation on the violence that is tolerated in modern society today. Actors and spectators mix together in a theatrical space that becomes a metaphor for Europe.
What forms does violence take today? Besides explicit physical violence, the contemporary world cultivates and tolerates violence in many different forms and spheres of life. And, little by little, the language of violence and of the fear of violence becomes the dominant language. In the lobby of a railway station symbolising paralysed Europe, in fragmented images and scenes, we discover characters and stories that speak of a world that consents to the abandonment of humanity as we head for a destination that has not yet been decided. Sexism and jihad, religion and false policies, terrorism and war, impoverished media and culture, insecurity and the virtues of the economic system; these are amongst the protagonists of a theatrical piece that creates a fictional documentary which mirrors our present reality. As at any station, comedy blends with drama, with the fleeting presence of characters travelling, migrating or defending their territory, carrying with them their stories, speaking, singing, or dancing. Perhaps Terminus, the god of borders, will smile down on us.
