El romance de la luna tucumana

Flamenco and South American music go hand-in-hand in the latest album by Diego El Cigala, a flamenco singer with a long history of musical fusions with the Latin world.

He was born in El Rastro in Madrid and is the nephew of the master, Rafael Farina. As a vocalist, he is considered heir to the legendary Camarón de la Isla. However, these strong flamenco roots have never prevented him from seeking new sounds. El Cigala had already placed his voice at the service of sounds from the other side of the Atlantic previously, and he does so again in his latest album, accompanying the electric guitar of Diego García El Twanguero, another tireless explorer of South American music. The whole album is enriched by the southern sounds of Diego García’s Gibson 259. This concert will feature tracks from the new disc, composed by the likes of Gardel and Lepera, Atahualpa Yupanqui and the Expósito brothers, alongside some of the best-known songs from El Cigala’s legendary earlier releases, such as Lágrimas negras, Cigala & tango and Dos lágrimas.
