With the morna as luggage, Évora has become the most international institution in Cape Verde. Their music combines West African percussion with Portuguese fado, Brazilian modinhas with shanties and British seafaring songs. The result is a magical and evocative sound, which at the Teatre Grec you will find with one of the most exceptional voices of fado, that of Mariza. Born in Mozambique, but raised in Portugal, Mariza captivates with her stylized fados, enriched by her knowledge of jazz and blues.
