Park Güell
It was designed by Antoni Gaudí as a private housing development for 60 wealthy families. The failure of that project meant that the area was turned into a public park. The large numbers of people attracted to the park has made it necessary to implement a plan to control tourism, in order to ensure the conservation of this heritage site.

The various sites of the Museu d’Història de Barcelona (MUHBA) show you the city’s historical heritage from its origins through to the present day. The Gaudir Més programme also offers you the chance to go on a comprehensive journey through time, with free admission to five MUHBA sites.
