Marea Nocturna: Desirée de Fez; Jordi Sánchez Navarro, Ángel Sala i Xavi Sánchez Pons

Desirée de Fez is a journalist and film critic specialising in fantasy and horror. A columnist for El Periódico de Catalunya, she is a regular contributor to TVE’s Página Dos and Punts de vista television programmes. After several years working for the Sitges - International Fantastic Film Festival of Catalonia, she is now a member of the San Sebastián Film Festival’s programming team, and also hosts the Marea Nocturna podcast (Radio Primavera Sound), a leading programme on fantasy and horror films.

Jordi Sánchez-Navarro holds an undergraduate degree in information sciences and a PhD in audiovisual communication. He is currently the head professor of the Open University of Catalonia’s Information and Communication Sciences Department, where he researches and teaches image culture, aesthetic and cultural history of cinema and animation, and the culture of design. He has been the director of the Barcelona International Comic Fair and assistant director of the Sitges - International Fantastic Film Festival of Catalonia.

Ángel Sala is a writer, scriptwriter and film critic particularly well known as the director of the Sitges - International Fantastic Film Festival of Catalonia since 2001.

Xavi Sánchez Pons is a film critic specialising in fantasy and horror, with a career spanning over twenty years. He regularly publishes reviews and interviews in newspapers and magazines such as AraSensaCineLa Razón and MondoSonoro
