DIGITAL JURASSIC: LIVE WITH PAKOZOICO ON DRAGONS
We won’t mince words: if you’re a dragon person, you can’t miss the conversation. The 42 Festival’s first-ever Social Media Night will be featuring none other than Valencian palaeontologist, populariser and crossfit athlete Francesc Gascó, better known as Pakozoico. His content creation has earned him hundreds of thousands of followers of his YouTube videos, social media accounts, podcasts and entertainment/educational books, and now he’ll be at the 42 Festival to speak with the curator of the “Hi Sunc Dragons” exhibition, Eduard Martí Blanch, about the possible biological origins of dragons, genre reads featuring these creatures, and some of the best novels inspired by palaeontological findings. A science fiction and fantasy fan who’s produced half a dozen scientific essays for all audiences as well as (together with Sara Cano) the children’s series Juràssic total [Total Jurassic], Gascó/Pakozoico says he feels at home at the Festival. In this talk, he’ll bring his trademark enthusiasm and ability to engage and educate all audiences, plus a healthy dose of nerdiness that promises to make this one of the highlights of the weekend’s events.
