Ricard Solé
Ricard Solé (Barcelona, 1962) is a physicist and biologist. He works at the Pompeu Fabra University as an ICREA research professor and at the Santa Fe Institute (USA) as a visiting professor. His work has been recognised with the City of Barcelona and La Vanguardia Science Awards. Prestigious publications, such as The New York Times, Nature and Science, have reported on his research. As an author, he has published Redes complejas (Tusquets, 2009) and Vidas sintéticas (Tusquets, 2012), and he has just brought out the essay Todas las muertes (Crítica), full of genre examples that allow him to speak of extinctions, ranging from the mind to the oceans, machines and human beings.
