Marta Marín-Dòmine
Marta Marín-Dòmine (Barcelona, 1959) is a Catalan and Canadian writer. She has also been a professor at the Autonomous University of Barcelona and the Wilfrid Laurier University in Canada, where she has directed the Center for Memory and Testimony Studies. Her research and literary creation revolve around exile and memory, legacies and oblivion. She has participated in creating several documentaries on historical memory. In 2019, she published Fugir era el més bell que teníem, which won the 2019 City of Barcelona Essay Award, the 2019 Joaquim Amat-Piniella Award and the 2020 Serra d'Or Novel Award. She recently published Ellas, a commentary on women's status in love matters via Golden Age theatre, and won the BBVA Sant Joan Award with her novel with Gothic elements, Diré que m’ho he inventat. She currently directs the Born Culture and Memory Centre in Barcelona.
