Layla Martínez
Layla Martínez (Madrid, 1987) is a writer and editor for the indie publishing label Antipersona. Her latest essay, Utopía no es una isla, explores the idea of utopia over the past few centuries and the possibility of constructing a utopian horizon in the present. She has coordinated and offered literature workshops, film series and talks on the history of women and social movements. She is a regular contributor to the newspaper El Salto. Her novel Carcoma (Amor de Madre) earned her the award for best new Spanish-language author at the Premios 42 in 2022.
