GUILLEM LÓPEZ: STRANGE, DARK, BRIGHT AND HOMELESS
The Valencian Guillem López is one of the main exponents and innovators of the terror and fantastical genres in our country. With a body of work that moves between dark speculative fiction, strange literature and horror, the author has been recognised with prestigious awards such as the Ignotus, the Kelvin 505 and the Spirit of Dedications of the European Science Fiction Society . After a short literary silence, the writer has just returnedwith two novels that have drawn a great deal of attention: one set in a Valencia where urban spaces are disappearing, Archipélag (Mai Més Llibres 023), and Ardiente sol de la infancia (Alianza) , which goes back to the imaginary of his hit Lago negro de tus ojos. Karen Madrid, a journalist specialising in genre literature, will be in charge of leading a conversation about the limits of the genre, terror in literature and López's referents.
