Seminar - Session 3: Talk and discussion with Antonio Campillo and Fina Birulés

Is love a political affect? Hannah Arendt was the author of essays on totalitarianism, the banality of evil and refugees. In her PhD thesis and in other writings she considered love as an apolitical or antipolitical passion but also as an amor mundi that embodies the best of politics. Is love political, apolitical or antipolitical?

Antonio Campillo. A philosopher, sociologist and author, he is Professor of Philosophy at the University of Murcia. He has published books on understanding philosophy as a cosmopoliethical practice that seeks to articulate cosmos, polis and ethos.

Fina Birulés. Professor of Philosophy at the University of Barcelona (UB), she has published books on political subjectification and female philosophical production, with particular attention to the work of Hannah Arendt and other 20th-century women philosophers.
