This is an example of how a much-needed facility for managing urban services could also be a pleasant green space.
When the cleaning depot was built, it offered an opportunity to deal with the lack of services such as areas for children to play or let dogs loose in. The children’s play equipment is now on the depot roof and there is also a large recreational area for dogs.
Concrete ramps provide an accessible link between Passeig de Montjuïc and the higher level, while two sets of steps and a path linked to the network of ramps improve access to the top of the gardens.
