Admission to the museum is free from 11 am to 3 pm on Sunday, with time slots every 20 minutes and the last entrance time at 2.20 pm. Firefighters will be taking part with their vehicles on the day.

The Espai Bombers was the first fire station to be built in the city, part of the historical phenomenon that was the International Expo of 1929. As you make your way around the building you can discover the history of the Barcelona Fire Service through its collection of exhibits. Highlights include the Delahaye fire truck, better know as the Genoveva, one of the most iconic vehicles used by the corps.

Besides the equipment on display, the museum has interactive resources and audiovisuals that allow users to experience the sensations people have during a fire.

To enjoy the open day, all you need to do is register in advance by sending an email to expaibombers@bcn.cat and indicate the number of people in your group.

Don’t miss it!
