Reissue of the book entitled Barcelona cosmopolita, by Gonçal Arnús, member of the Board of Directors of the Societat d’Atracció de Forasters (Attraction of Foreigners Society) of Barcelona, first published in 1908 and which presented a new urban and touristic development model of the city of Barcelona. The work, a pioneer of its genre, can be considered a mentoring plan or a declaration of intentions for the future of the city, which would become a tourist model for cities all over the world. This new edition is prefaced by an introduction by Saida Palou Rubio and Agustín Cocola-Gant.
