For the first time, here is a record of the more than 125 factories that were built in the city of Barcelona between 1738 and 1856 in the middle of the Industrial Revolution. The main purpose of this book is to record all the factories that could be found in what is today the Ciutat Vella district and to review the heritage value, state of conservation and typology, of both the factories that are still standing and the ones that have disappeared.
