This year it will be open from 11th to 19th June, from 11 am to 2 pm and from 4 pm to 7 pm, with access from C/ Font de Sant Miquel. On thursday 16th June, it will be open from 10 am to 8 pm, with access from C/ Ciutat. Un Sunday afternoons, the City Hall will be closed.
The “Seguici Popular de Barcelona” is made up of the City Bigheads, the City, Pi and Santa Maria del Mar giants, the City Eagle, the Lion, the Mule, the Ox, three dragons – La Víbria, El Drac and La Tarasca – and the Cavallets Cotoners. They are all elements of festive imagery with a certain historical tradition, some hundreds of years old and others revived in recent decades, on the basis of documentary records. You will also see the Casa de Caritat giants, which were made on the year 1918.
