The Jardins dels Drets Humans have been the setting for the Pessebre Vivent de la Marina, a live nativity scene, since 2009. It is organised by the Unió d’Entitats de la Marina and the Centre Cultural Estrelles Altes, with the collaboration of the Sants-Montjuïc district, the Amics de la Marina and Artistes de la Marina. Previously, the representation had been staged in Plaça de la Marina. This live nativity scene, or pessebre vivent, is performed every year and attracts thousands of visitors.The display is the work of more than two hundred participants which include the figures, technicians and coordinators.

The tableaux recreate biblical passages and real-sized, classic scenes of Bethlehem. The sets include live animals which lends them an air of realism.
