Every Christmas the Quadre Escènic Sant Medir puts on the Pastorets (Shepherds) by Josep M. Folch i Torres on the Sant Medir parish stage, in the Sants-Montjuïc district. In fact, the company debuted with this traditional nativity play in 1950 and they have been staging it every year since then. This involves nearly 50 people, including actors, directors and technical staff.

The Quadre Escènic Sant Medir company was set up only a month after the parish hall, the Centre Parroquial de Sant Medir, opened on 16 April, 1950. At that time the centre was in Passatge de Toledo, behind the parish church on Carrer de la Constitució. The centre moved to its current location in 1960, when the new church opened.
