The current Banda Simfònica de les Corts arose from the former Banda de la Bonanova, which was founded in the first half of the 20^th century. The latter musical group had already been already performing in local festivals and institutional events organised by the City Council. The group has a long history, and before changing its base to the Les Corts district, at the end of the 1990s, it spent some time in Hospitalet de Llobregat.

From 1982 onwards, the group leaders invited the musical director of the Banda Municipal de Barcelona to conduct some concerts.

The Banda Simfònica de les Corts has travelled all around Catalonia as well as western cities. They have released a CD which was recorded with the Huapachà Combo group.

The band's repertoire includes classical pieces, sardanes, pasadobles, modern music, and film sound tracks. The band rehearses at the Centre Cívic de les Corts.
