The Diables de Sant Andreu were set up in 1981. The idea was to give the Sant Andreu de Palomar neighbourhood a grup de foc, or fire group, but with an innovative character. One of the distinctive features of these devils is the red masks they wear, aside from the particular features of their clothes, which are predominantly red and black.

For a time they had the support of their own artistic company, Trialavia, with whom they did street theatre, children's entertainment and street cercaviles.

The Diables de Sant Andreu are very active in their neighbourhood. At their centre they organise activities that are open to the general public, some their own, others put on by other groups. Every month they also put on the Forat dels Somnis, entertainment and activities for kids. And they arrange workshops on clowns, stilts, tango, etc.
