The Esbart Dolça Catalunya belongs to the Centre Cultural els Catalanistes, which was founded in 1866 and was one of the first cultural societies to be set up in Sant Andreu de Palomar. Dolça Catalunya is dedicated to popularising traditional Catalan dance and is one of the centre's three sections, the others being the Josep Arbonés i Serra lyric theatre group and Grusub, the sports section.

The dance group uses the cultural centre's facilities, which include a hall that seats 137 and has a regular programme of events, a bar-restaurant and rooms where they can rehearse and organise different activities.
