This year’s budget for general subsidies will be 20,714,40 euros, to be awarded to citywide or district projects, activities and services, with 24 categories and 99 types of support. The process is the biggest annual subsidy call ever held by Barcelona City Council.
Applications for the general subsidy call for 2025 can be submitted online between 9 and 29 January.
The activities put forward must foster public or social interest and have certain goals such as improving social cohesion and inclusion, tackling the climate emergency or promoting the values of civic behaviour and coexistence.

Once the period concludes and applications have been checked an appraised technically, the subsidies awarded and rejected will be announced in a single publication in the BOPB.
