This unique new play space in the Jardins de la Indústria, which includes other, smaller animal figures as well as the Swallow, sets out to create a playful environment that stimulates children’s imagination and their connection with nature. The play area includes slides, platforms, ramps, balancing equipment, nets, swings and other elements in an open space with a seating area for companions. New elements of street furniture and vegetation have also been added.

The renovation of this recreational space was carried out in keeping with the criteria of the 2020-2030 Plan for Play, which aims to promote a more varied and stimulating view of recreational spaces for the city’s children. The aim is to include elements that enhance their creativity and imagination, the development of psychomotor skills, experimentation, socialization and nature connection.

The review of play spaces in the city forms part of the pioneering Plan for Play in Public Space, designed with the aim of constructing a more child-friendly city that promotes their well-being, learning and creativity, and neighbourhood life in greener, traffic-calmed environments.
