Barcelona City Council purchased the 114-apartment social housing block at number 7, c/Encuny, in the district of Marina del Prat Vermell, in late 2018. At that time, there were 56 homes with valid rental contracts and 58 empty apartments. The building also has commercial premises and 76 parking places. Since its acquisition, the City Council has given 14 flats on loan to social inclusion organizations.

These 14 apartments are loaned for a three-year period, renewable for a further three years. Each organization will be responsible for their management. All the apartments will be allocated to social inclusion programmes that work towards the comprehensive reinsertion of people who find themselves in a situation of vulnerability and social and residential exclusion.

They are 1-bedroom apartments of approximately 45 m² with a kitchen-diner and a bathroom. They are fully electric and equipped with a vitroceramic hob, an electric oven and an accumulation tank to produce domestic hot water. All the apartments receive lots of natural light.
