Bon Pastor F1 housing complex

The remodelling of Bon Pastor, in the district of Sant Andreu, is one of the big projects being developed by the Barcelona Municipal Housing Board and one of the largest housing interventions to be carried out in the city in recent years.

It involves the replacement of 784 cheap houses, with problems of damp and habitability, by a new district of some 1,000 homes built according to sustainability and energy-saving criteria. This building includes 61 homes for people affected by urban development.

It is a staggered, freestanding building comprising five storeys at its centre, six or seven storeys at the ends, and two basement floors, and forms part of phase three of the remodelling of the district of Bon Pastor.

The development includes 61, 2-, 3- and 4-bedroom apartments, with a total of five stairways. On the stairways in the end walls there are three homes per landing and, in the three central stairways, two homes per landing.

Arranged on the ground floor are the hallway providing access to the homes, spaces for commercial premises and the entrance to the basement carpark.
