Ca l’Isidret

Ca l’Isidret is a municipal development built by Barcelona’s Municipal Housing and Rehabilitation Institute (IMHAB) that includes a day centre for the elderly, a neighbourhood centre and 83 social housing units, 29 of which are assisted living apartments for seniors, and 54, 2- or 3-bedroom freehold flats designed for cohabitation units of between one and six people.

This is a public housing tenure model in which the successful bidder acquires ownership of the housing for a period of 75 years, but the land remains in council hands. At the end of this period, ownership returns to the city council.

The main floor houses Ca l’Isidret, a local facility for the neighbourhood. The programme includes activities aimed at the general population and specific activities for the elderly.
