Sara Mesa and Imma Monsó
In this dialogue, which will be moderated by the cultural journalist Anna Pérez Pagès, Sara Mesa and Imma Monsó will be talking about their latest books, La familia (Anagrama, 2022) and La mestra i la Bèstia (Anagrama, 2023) respectively. Two works revolving around family and how it adapts to its environment.
Despite having started her career in the field of literature with a book of poems, Sara Mesa is, first and foremost, a storyteller. She has received a variety of awards for several of her novels and collections of short stories, such as the Ojo Crítico award for fiction and the Las Librerías Recomiendan and Cálamo awards. Her work has been translated into several languages.
Imma Monsó is considered one of the biggest names in her literary generation. In 2013 she received the National Prize for Culture. Her works have earned her several prestigious literary prizes, such as the Prudenci Bertrana award, the Cavall Verd – Blai Bonet award for fiction and the Ramon Llull award.
