In recent decades, food and gastronomy have formed part of Barcelona’s success as a tourist attraction. The post-Covid scenario presents various challenges and opportunities for defining the role of food in the city's identity, improving sustainable economic development, the well-being of city residents and food education.
In this session, we want to discuss the city and its role in developing a high-quality, diverse culinary offering, for both the local population and visitors, and how we must tackle the main human challenges we face in order to be competitive, such as sustainability, local food, zero waste and new business models.
