Network Museums of Art of Catalonia is an organization incorporated on October 16, 2014, which brings together several museums with the aim of facilitating common protection policies, research and knowledge of heritage. It also deals with the training of professionals and makes possible the realization of joint projects between all members within it.
The Museu Nacional d'Art de Catalunya, as reference museum institution in the country, coordinates the thematic network that articulates art museums of the territory in a common strategy for collaboration.
The actions to be carried out shall be defined by programs approved annually and governed by a unitary policy, respecting the diversity of each of the museums that make up the network.
These programs will affect, among others, in professional practices and activities and services; in the documentation and conservation of collections and campaigns through the websites of the signatory institutions, with the aim of getting between all the museums that make up the network more social, scientific and tourist projection.
