Participation in systems to reproduce the museum's sculptural works

The museum has established certain conditions for reproducing sculptural works through three-dimensional digital scanning technology and reproductions in resin or other materials different to the originals.

The three-dimensional scanning system is administered in situ; it involves no handling of the work and is extremely reliable.

The process of reproducing the museum's works has had the support of the company nub 3D for the three-dimensional digitalisation and of other partner companies for rendering the final replica.

The replicas of museum works rendered using this technology to date are:

• Front of the marble sarcophagus, 4th century, from Layos (Toledo) (MFM 157)

• Polychromed wooden crucified Christ, second half of the 12th century from Santa Maria de València d'Àneu (MFM 645)
