The aim of this exhibition is to illustrate the process in which the Monastery of Sant Pere de Rodes was gradually destroyed and dismantled, with particular emphasis on its artistic heritage, from the time it was abandoned to the present, reliving its history and describing its vicissitudes. At the same time, though, it also focuses on the way in which collectors managed to salvage something from the site, principally its monumental sculpture.
