Tenth Science Congress: the sea is life
The Science Congress returns to the Biomedical Research Park for a face-to-face edition from 22 to 26 May. Under the slogan is “The sea is life”, this tenth edition involves 37 city schools which have carried out research in areas such as marine biodiversity, the state of sand, pollution and its relationship with climate etc.
During this academic year, work has continued to boost networking with teaching staff to enable teachers to guide research. This year has also seen the scientific community, through the Barcelona Biomedical Research Park (PRBB) and the Institute of Marine Sciences (ICM) and others, take part in a virtual meeting with schools, aimed at students and teachers linked to the research initiated.
The different sessions can be followed on YouTube, on the Barcelona aprèn ciència page. At the end of the congress there will be feedback from students in real time, giving added value to their research and offering real models and experiences.
Schools will be able to continue their research on the sea next year. Barcelona is also the host of the UN Ocean Decade Conference for 2024, an event bringing together the community to look at achievements and establish joint priorities for the future.
