The Manifesta 15 Cultural Biennale Arrives in Barcelona

From Sunday 8th September until 24th November, the Catalan capital and its metropolitan area will host the fifteenth edition of Manifesta 15, the European contemporary art biennale with significant international prestige.

This cultural biennale provides a valuable opportunity to position the Barcelona metropolitan area as a leading cultural destination, promoting decentralisation of cultural infrastructures and fostering new forms of collaboration between institutions.

The event aims to act as a catalyst for socio-ecological change, enhance the cultural ecosystem of the metropolitan network, and showcase artistic and architectural creations in historical, unknown, or disused spaces.

12 Cities Across Three Clusters

Barcelona and eleven cities in the metropolitan area will serve as venues for Manifesta 15 with a cross-disciplinary cultural programme. The Catalan capital, together with Badalona, Cornellà de Llobregat, El Prat de Llobregat, Granollers, l’Hospitalet de Llobregat, Mataró, Sabadell, Santa Coloma de Gramenet, Sant Adrià de Besòs, Sant Cugat del Vallès, and Terrassa, are grouped into three clusters showcasing projects around three main themes: Balancing Conflicts, Caring and Self-Care, and Imagining Futures.

The programme includes over 70 events and cultural activities and features more than 90 local and international participants.
