School preregistration: what do you need to know?

The local education system preregistration period for the 2024-2025 school year gets under way on 6 March. Preregistration is essential for obtaining a place for your child at one of the 400 plus schools in the Barcelona education network, made up of schools sustained by public funds: state schools and state-subsidised private schools (escoles concertades).

To help you get a better understanding of the preregistration and enrolment process for the school system, we’re offering you this online information session by Cristina Iglesia, a school advisor at the Barcelona Education Consortium.

The session provides a step-by-step explanation of how to complete and submit a preregistration application and what the criteria are for assigning a school. At the end of the talk there will also be time for asking questions and clearing up any doubts.
