Informative Session: Choosing a school in Barcelona

One of the biggest challenges that families with children are facing when moving to a new city is choosing the right school and in Barcelona, choices are multiple.

In this session we will discuss about the different options available. Taking into account both the ownership of the schools and how are they financed, there are public schools (escoles públiques), state-subsidised private schools (escoles concertades) and private schools (escoles privades). Taking into account the language and curriculum, there are multilingual and international schools, as well as different international education certificates offered by local schools

A special focus will be put on the admission process to local schools (public and state-subsidised private schools) and how to pre-enroll your child.

In addition, all participants will obtain a copy of the new publication “Choosing a school in Barcelona. Practical guide for international families” (for free).
