Iconic Shops Walk

Barcelona offers a wide array of shops and commercial establishments that form part of its identity and singularity and which shine with their own light over the Christmas season.

On this walk we’ll be visiting several iconic shops, some of them centenarian, with significant historical and heritage value and continuing to offer quality produce and good service. The walk ends up at the Mercat de Santa Llúcia, where we will be able to discover some of the traditions and products typical at Christmas.

This activity has been organised with the collaboration of Turisme de Barcelona, which under the Barcelona Shopping City programme has created different routes to discover the wealth of the city and its commerce focusing on various points: gourmet food, crafts, independent design, exclusivity and luxury etc. For more information on products and routes for discovering our city, go to: bcnshop.barcelonaturisme.com.

Details of the activity

A walking tour around the streets of Barcelona lasting roughly two hours. Don’t forget to bring comfortable shoes!

Sets off from:  Ajuntament de Barcelona. Plaça Sant Jaume, 1.

Finishes at: Mercat de Santa Llúcia. Avinguda de la Catedral.

We will divide into two groups: one will do the route in English and the other in Spanish.

Please be as punctual as possible. We cannot guarantee availability of places for anyone who arrives late.
