The Gate: the festival where art, science and technology meet to rethink the future
A creative platform to explore the transformations of our world and redefine the future through innovation and interdisciplinary collaboration.The Gate, the international festival organized by the La Fura dels Baus Epic Foundation and Media Solution Center (MSC), is a shared project with a large number of partners and collaborators. Inaugurated a few weeks ago, the festival continues with its ambitious goal of rethinking the future through various creative, experimental and educational activities. Located in the port of Badalona, The Gate has established itself as a space for exhibition and reflection both for the public and for professionals from different disciplines.

Oceans in Transformation
Until November 3, Oceans in Transformation, by the Territorial Agency, offers a visual and interactive perspective on the transformations of the ocean in the era of the Anthropocene. With large screens that reveal the human impact on the oceans, citizenship can immerse themselves in the dynamics and transformations of marine ecosystems. The exhibition can be visited from Tuesday to Thursday from 16:00 to 20:00, and from Friday to Sunday from 10:00 to 20:00.
Quantum Art and Uncertainty
On October 14 at 7:00 p.m., the La Fura dels Baus Epic Foundation and the New Art Foundation, in collaboration with HacTe, will present Quantum Art and Uncertainty, a masterclass led by Dr. Paul Thomas, expert in the convergence between quantum physics and fine arts. This session will explore how quantum concepts have influenced contemporary art, with a particular focus on phenomena such as observation and probability. The session will be given in English with a simultaneous translation service.
AIR S+T+ARTS Festival
On 26 and 27 October, from 18:30 to 23:30, the work of 10 international artists will be highlighted in collaboration with scientists to explore the intersections between humans, artificial intelligence and resilient ecosystems. It is a unique opportunity to appreciate how art and science can merge to inspire new creative solutions to global challenges. In addition, dialogue and the exchange of ideas around the complex and multifaceted concept of air and its significance will be promoted.
The Gate Pro
On October 28 and 29, from 10:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m., The Gate Pro will bring together experts from disciplines as diverse as marine science, architecture, climate change and artificial intelligence to debate the limits of future. This professional event is structured around themes such as the future of cities, technology and society, addressing the need for disruptive and sustainable R+D+I.
