The cycle lane on Ronda Sant Pere is being extended to Urquinaona
On Monday 27 February, work will begin on the construction of a two-way segregated cycle lane on the left-hand side of the road between C. Girona and C. Roger de Llúria.
The new cycle lane will be a continuation of the existing cycle lane on Ronda Sant Pere between Pg. Sant Joan and C. Girona.
First of all, a strip of pavement next to the new cycle lane will be renovated. This will be followed by channelling for traffic lights, pavement milling and agglomeration, and painting work.
Some of this work will need to be carried out at weekends or at night. All necessary measures will be taken to keep the inconvenience to local residents to a minimum.
This initiative is part of the project to build 32.6 kilometres of new cycle lanes, and improve 11.7 kilometres of existing ones.
The aim is to close the year 2023 with a total network of 272 kilometres, making Barcelona a more sustainable city.
