How the furniture and clothing collection service works

What can be collected?

What cannot be collected?
- Rubble
- Sanitary items
- Objects similar to rubble from building work
Each neighbourhood has a particular day for residents to leave their old furniture and junk items in front of their homes. Items should be left in the street on the specified day, between 8 and 10 pm.
Household appliances, such as fridges, washing machines and air-conditioning units, cannot be left in the street and must be taken to the nearest green point.
There is also a free furniture collection service for people with disabilities or reduced mobility. This should be requested in advance, indicating that the person has a disability certificate or reduced mobility accreditation.
Clothing collections
This is a home collection service for clothing, footwear, towels, sheets and curtains.
- The minimum quantity should be equivalent to 5 household bin bags or 3 industrial sized bin bags.
- For people with accredited reduced mobility, the minimum quantity for collections is 2 household bin bags or 1 industrial sized bin bag.
The collections are carried out by two non-profit labour insertion companies, from Monday to Friday, from 9 am to 2 pm and from 3 pm to 7 pm, and Saturday mornings.
