L2 metro line closed between La Pau and Gorg on Saturday night and Sunday
The section will be out of service from 10 pm on Saturday, 20 April, until the end of the day on Sunday, 21 April. Passengers will have to take a special bus service or use alternative public transport options in the area, such as the L4 (La Pau) and the L10 (Gorg) metro services or the T4, T5 and T6 tram services. The rest of the line, from Paral·lel to La Pau on one side, and from Gorg to Badalona Pompeu Fabra on the other, will be operating services according to the usual timetables for Saturdays and public holidays. This weekend, Transports Metropolitans de Barcelona (TMB) will be carrying out work to improve the infrastructure between La Pau and Gorg on the L2 metro line, meaning that train services will be suspended in this section for a period of 26 hours. The type of work requires more time that the usual work carried out at night.
In practical terms, trains will be circulating along the whole length of line 2 until 10 pm on Saturday, 20 April, when the closure starts. The affected section will be out of service until the end of the day on Sunday, 21 April, at midnight. L2 services will start running normally again from 5 am on Monday, 22 April.
The affected section will be covered by a shuttle bus service from La Pau to Gorg, stopping close to the affected stations and offering similar capacities and timetables. The first shuttle buses will be setting off from the start and finish stations (La Pau and Gorg) at 10 pm and operating all day on Sunday. The last buses will set off from the same points on Sunday night, at midnight.
