Study commission on reoffending formally constituted
The commission is made up of two councillors from each of the municipal groups. The goal is to study the legislative reforms needed to cut reoffending.Over a total of five sessions, experts will be taking part and the commission will analyse the problem resulting from certain criminal offences such as pickpocketing and mugging.
The commission will also analyse comparable experiences and the urban, social and economic impact of reoffending, with a report to be presented in the final session detailing the proposals with the broadest possible consensus.
The implementation of legislative reforms is regarded as fundamental for cutting the crime rate, as well as the perception of insecurity among members of the public.
