Some 7,000 pupils have taken part in the Viu la Vela programme since it was launched in April 2023, including 450 special education centres.

During the opening festival, 170 vessels set sail together, including sailing boats, kayaks, paddle surfboards and big stand-up paddle boards. At the same time, on the beach, 15 environmental workshops were held to raise awareness about sustainability and the preservation of maritime diversity.

The Viu la Vela programme is part of the Cultural Regatta and one of the legacies of the America’s Cup in the city.
