Barcelona gets a new Business Training Centre for the 2024-2025 academic year
The 2024-2025 academic year brings the launch of a new business training centre in Barcelona, specialising in vocational training in commerce and administration. The new centre will be housed in the Institut Joan Brossa and will have 840 students and nearly 65 teachers. The training centre, the Institut de Formació Empresarial de Barcelona, will offer a wide range of teaching linked to its specialty and will collaborate with over 60 companies.
Housed at the Institut Joan Brossa, the centre will distribute its range of training into two sites: the current Institut Joan Brossa, which will continue to offer secondary and sixth-form education, and a new vocational training centre which will absorb the training cycles offered at the same centre until now, plus others from the Institut Vall d’Hebron and the Institut La Guineueta.
The new centre brings the number of comprehensive specialist centres in Barcelona’s vocational training strategy to 31. Along with this centre, the Institut d’FP Sanitària Vall d’Hebron (medical), the Institut de Seguretat i Mobilitat de Barcelona Guineueta (safety and mobility) and the Institut de Disseny i Arts Gràfiques de Barcelona (design and graphic arts) make up the four new centres opening for the next academic year.
