New strategic plan by Mobile World Capital Barcelona
A new horizon to drive the sustainable digital transformation. This is the premise for the new Strategic Plan 2023-2024 by the foundation Mobile World Capital Barcelona. The plan is based around sustainability, improving people’s quality of life and consolidating the city as a digital tech capital in southern Europe.
The plan centres on technological humanism, focusing on sustainability and improving people’s quality of life. Action by Mobile World Capital Barcelona will revolve around the following:
- Tech4Good. Promotion of projects with a positive impact for society.
- Digital talent. Positioning Barcelona as a magnet for digital talent and an international leader in digital knowledge.
- Tech transfer. Support for the city’s ecosystem in terms of creating science spin-offs.
An observatory will also be created to generate and disseminate the city’s own knowledge on various matters relating to the impact of digitalisation in society.
Awards to recognise the best projects in sustainable digitalisation
The foundation will be giving awards to public or private international projects linked to the sustainable development goals set out by the UN 2030 Agenda.
