New bike lane section open in Ronda Sant Pere
A new bike lane section is now open in Ronda Sant Pere, covering the distance between the streets of Girona and Roger de Llúria. The new section is a segregated two-way lane, with specific signage and traffic lights.The new bike lane was funded with the EU’s Next Generation funding and provides continuity for the current bike lane in Ronda Sant Pere, configuring a cycling route between Arc de Triomf and Roger de Llúria.
Next bike lanes to come into service
The boost to the city’s network of bike lanes continues, with more lanes opening up between June and August, including:
- Two new bike segregated one-way lanes in c. Rosselló, c. Freser and pg. Maragall.
- A new one-way lane heading in the direction of the mountains in C/ Independència, between Av. Meridiana and Sant Antoni Maria Claret.
- New bike lane sections in Via Augusta, between the streets of Balmes and Ganduxer and Ganduxer and Dolors Monserdà.
- A new bike lane section in Av. Diagonal, between the Escola Universitària d’Empresarials and the Parc de Cervantes.
