Espai Rambla opens to provide information on the transformation of the avenue
Housed on the ground floor of the Palau de la Virreina (La Rambla, 99), the Espai Rambla provides information on the transformation of the avenue, as well as the process to strengthen its cultural and economic vitality. The goal is to support local residents and the social, economic and cultural make-up of the area around La Rambla during the 32 months that the transformation will take. This new public information point specialising in the project for La Rambla occupies a space of 40 m2 and is directly visible from the street, attending to users from Monday to Friday, from 10.15 am to 6.15 pm. The centre is staffed by two people, who will be answering queries about the evolution of the work and any disruptions, as well as handling incidents with local people and other social, economic and cultural stakeholders.
The Espai Rambla also has the goal of highlighting the value of the past, present and future of the iconic street. This can be seen in the exhibition “La Rambla de sempre, més Rambla que mai” [Timeless Rambla, more Rambla than ever], based around the history of the street and the transformation to come.
Besides the Espai Rambla, you can also find full information on the specific website for La Rambla and the Telegram channel with information and relevant notifications for shops and businesses in Ciutat Vella.
