Line 4 metro service returns to normal on Saturday
The L4 metro service is set to re-open on Saturday, 26 August, following work to renew six kilometres of track in the section between Girona and Jaume I. The work will improve efficiency and comfort on the line through a more reliable infrastructure, also reducing vibrations along this section.
The disruption to service in the central part of this line coincided with the summer months to minimise inconvenience to users.
The upgrade of six kilometres meant laying 12,000 metres of steel track, with anti-vibration fittings.
