The Desvarío flamenco festival returns to Nou Barris
The district of Nou Barris welcomes a new edition of the Desvarío festival from 17 to 22 July, as part of the programme for the Grec Festival. The first days of this year’s festival feature talks on the figure of Juan Ortiz Nuevo, the flamenco researcher, documentalist, disseminator and reinventor. From Thursday to Saturday the festival features concerts from Rosario la Tremendita, Rafael Riqueni, David Peña Dorantes and Renaud Garcia-Fons, Esperanza Fernández and Miguel Ángel Cortés, Ana Morales and Anna Colom and the Proyecto Vozes choir.
The six concerts in the Desvarío festival will be held in the courtyard of the Nou Barris district office between 20 and 22 July. Tickets cost 15 euros and are available for purchase online, except for the concert on 22 July by Anna Colom and the Proyecto Vozes choir, which is free until capacity is reached.
The presentations, lectures and round tables for the festival will be held in the district office and the local library. Admission to these is also free, with open access until capacity is reached.
